Xander Arts
Chief Executive Officer
Xander is the Founding Partner and Chief Executive Officer of Brookfort Group, with over 30 years of international experience in fiduciary services, corporate structuring, and fund administration.
He has held senior leadership and board roles across Europe, the Americas, the Middle East, and Asia, advising international clients on cross-border structuring, governance, and asset protection. His experience includes working with regulated investment structures, including supervised mutual funds, and supporting complex international business operations across multiple jurisdictions.
As CEO, Xander leads the firm’s strategic direction and oversees the delivery of integrated, client-focused solutions for international clients, particularly those operating in emerging markets. He is recognized for his pragmatic approach and hands-on leadership style.
Xander holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Corporate & Business Law and a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from Erasmus University Rotterdam, and has also studied Spanish Civil and Commercial Law. He speaks Dutch, English, Spanish, German, Portuguese, and French.
Careen Leyshon
Partner, Chief Legal and Trust Officer
Careen A. Leyshon is a Partner and Chief Legal and Trust Officer at Brookfort, where she is responsible for the firm’s legal, fiduciary, and trust framework, including oversight of structuring, governance, and regulatory matters. She is a trust and corporate attorney with over 20 years of experience advising high-net-worth individuals, families, and international businesses on cross-border structuring, asset protection, and succession planning. Her expertise includes the design and implementation of complex fiduciary structures across multiple jurisdictions, with a particular focus on the Americas and emerging markets. Prior to joining Brookfort, she held senior executive roles within a leading international fiduciary and corporate services group, including Chief Executive Officer of a regulated bank and Managing Director of its Barbados operations, where she led one of the group’s highest-performing offices globally. Careen is a regular speaker at international conferences on regulatory matters, including FATCA and CRS, and has contributed to publications on international structuring. She holds law degrees from the University of the West Indies and the Norman Manley Law School and is a member of the Barbados Bar Association.
Alejandro González
Chief Operating and Financial Officer
Alejandro González is Co-Founder and Chief Operating and Financial Officer at Brookfort, where he oversees the firm’s global operations, financial strategy, and client delivery infrastructure. He is responsible for financial planning, reporting, and capital management across the group, and oversees the firm’s Fund Administration and Client Administration functions, ensuring robust accounting, reporting, and operational support across investment structures and corporate clients in multiple jurisdictions. In his operational capacity, he leads the implementation of scalable processes, systems, and controls to support the firm’s growth, working closely with departmental teams to ensure efficient execution of strategy, strong governance, and consistent delivery of high-quality client solutions. With a background managing operations and finance for multinational Groups, he brings a practical and structured approach to managing complex, cross-border operations, supporting Brookfort’s ability to deliver secure and client-focused services globally. Alejandro combines operational discipline with commercial insight, helping Brookfort maintain efficiency, reliability, and responsiveness across its international platform. He is a Materials Engineer and holds Masters degrees in Finance from ESADE Business School and Project Management from La Salle BCN Business School. Alejandro is fluent in English and Spanish.
